环境之友奖，即日起接受提名。由国家环境局设立的环境之友奖（EcoFriend Awards）即日起至4月25日开始接受公众的提名。这个奖项旨在表扬与肯定对新加坡绿化和清洁环境有持久贡献的人，并鼓励得奖者继续扮演模范角色。个人奖项分为五个组别：私人领域、公共领域、教育机构领域（包括环境教育工作者）、基层义工或非政府组织领域，及青年和学生领域。获提名者必须符合的一些条件包括：在没获得个人利益的情况下为环境作出贡献、个人行为对环境有持久正面的影响，及推行或参与具持久性的环境计划。  
EcoFriend Awards
Introduction
The EcoFriend Awards recognise the efforts and achievements of environmentally-proactive people in Singapore who have made contributions to the environment. These individuals come from all walks of life - school teachers, students, youth and volunteers in non-government, private, people as well as public sector organizations and have sacrificed their personal time and effort to protect, promote and enhance our Clean & Green environment.
 
The collective efforts of these proactive individuals in taking ownership of the environment has allowed everyone to benefit from a clean and green environment. We hope that the award encourages them to continue and expand their efforts in caring for the environment, and look forward to welcoming more individuals on board the EcoFriend family.
 
Scope
All efforts made by an individual in protecting, promoting and enhancing Singapore's Clean & Green environment over the last two to five years will be taken into account in the selection of award recipients.
 
Eligibility
Any individual residing in Singapore may be nominated for the EcoFriend Awards.
 
EcoFriend Awards Categories
There are five (5) EcoFriend Award categories.
 
Each individual may be nominated in only ONE of the following categories:
Private sector individuals
Public Sector individuals (includes teaching and non-teaching staff in tertiary institutions such as universities and polytechnics, and ITEs)
Non Government Organisations and Grassroots Volunteers
Educational Institutions (includes Environmental Education Advisors, Principals, Teachers and staff in JCs, secondary and primary schools)
Youth & Students (includes members of youth groups, youths in tertiary institutions and JCs, secondary and primary school students)
Criteria for Nomination
 
Individuals nominated for the awards should have fulfilled some or all of the following criteria:
Contributed to environmental efforts without personal gain
Conducted themselves in a manner that results in a sustained positive impact on the environment.
Contributed to the environmental well-being of the community. (e.g. set up and lead an on-going recycling programme for the whole housing estate)
Initiated or participated in environmental programmes that are carried out on a sustained basis and /or have a clear plan indicating that they will be continued into the future.
